A robot can be extraordinarily advanced — and still be too expensive, unreliable or difficult to maintain to create economic value at scale. So as the industry moves from prototype → production → deployment, the bottleneck changes too. A robot doing something once is impressive. A robot doing it ten thousand times, safely and economically, is a business.
