@dollartreedinners: These are 3 kitchen tools I bought recently that I genuinely use ALL the time now 🍳 Nothing fancy or sponsored just things that have made cooking easier, less stressful, and honestly way more enjoyable for me. The oil thermometer alone changed my fried food game 😂 #CookingTips #KitchenTools #HomeCooking #KitchenGadgets #CookingAtHome #FoodCreator
Vacuum sealers are absolutely worth the cost if you do a lot of freezing. As long as the seals hold there is no frostbite and it stays good for so much longer.

Anyone remember when electric knife sharpeners were built into the back of electric can openers?

Know how to thaw properly tho. You have to open the bag for some things thaw to to avoid food poisoning. I think salmon is one

While we're sharing...for me it's my Zojirushi water boiler (I drink a lot of tea but it's also helpful for cooking) and my Igloo countertop ice maker (don't have an ice maker in my cheap apartment fridge). I use them both all day!

I've been interested in a vacuum sealer for a long time. Are the supplies for it costly?

Yes I agree a vacuum sealer is definitely worth the investment. Also the oil thermometer is an item I have and use and yes it is very worth the investment. Helps so much. I don't have an automatic knife sharpener but have thought about getting one. 🥰
Do you have or have you tried a digital meat thermometer? I recently bought one for my SO for his birthday....it can be used in the meat while it cooks and connects via an app on his phone. Personally has helped me a lot as I tend to over cook my pork loins.

The vac sealer is good with asparagus. Lay the spears out flat in a row.

I have all 3 and completely agree they are worth the $$ & storage space. I use the vacuum sealer for long term freezing & sealing for sous vide in my Instant pot.

PSA: do not thaw frozen fish in a vacuum-sealed package; it can lead to botulism. Puncture the vacuum seal to thaw fish in fridge

Electric knife sharpening if you can’t sharpen are ok. But they will shorten the life of your knife by years

well, I'm very curious now! how do you decide if meat is bad, if not by the thaw date? do you go by smell? I definitely ignore BBDates for dairy, veg, and similar things, but I've always stuck very close to any meat dates provided out of sheer fear haha.

That’s the same vacuum sealer I had for 10 years. It finally quit. Trust me, don’t buy a cheaper substitute! Buy the Food Saver brand!
