@fisherzhangs_in_china: I never would have imagined staying up late to study with my kids—until I married a Chinese woman. Now here I am in China, practicing English with my daughter at 9 p.m. (and sometimes later). These days, my son has become independent enough to handle most things on his own, which is a huge help. Still, I’m approaching my final form as a tiger dad, doing it like the Romans do in Rome. And honestly, I think my kids will benefit—if only from the time they get to spend with me, joking around to keep the mood light so the late-night studying doesn’t feel too heavy. #china #chinalife #fatherdaughter #familyvlog #mixedfamily

She might enjoy jolly phonics - really fun silly cartoon videos where you learn the sounds of letters which will help with spelling, there’s also an app called reading eggs (paid app) which is good also with some fun animations or a free version of alphablocks app✌

After leaning some linguistic course I questioned how should someone learn a second language or even first language from scratch. The hard memorizing way or some more flexible, forgiving and intuitive way like simply discovering IPA, how to make vowel and consonant sounds
