Her mother, who is a Deputy Chief of Police in another city, reportedly emailed multiple WFPD officials (including several captains and lieutenants) about the situation but received no response or acknowledgment, which is where the “stonewalled” claim comes from, though the WFPD Chief later said he became aware of the concerns, personally reached out to her, and apologized according to his interview.
