Retired classroom teacher here and I can so relate to many of your posts. I still do part-time substitute work and agree that our students could use more opportunities for practicing social skills. Maybe I should restate that and say, learning social skills. Thank you for your ongoing efforts and interesting content you share with your students. I would have enjoyed having a teacher like you when I was in school. Enjoy your trip and feel better soon. 😊🏖️

Retired in 2023 after 30.4 years and I know how bad it was then! Kudos to you for hanging in! I loved teaching! I was born to teach! Years 2007-2018 were the best! If kids were still like that I’d still be teaching…. But the last few years were absolutely exhausting!!! Key West or bust!

As a mom of 2 boys and 2 girls you are right. I should have taken “screen time” to another level. They are not living in reality anymore. I’m moving us into the woods so they can learn how to be alive again. 🫶 would have loved a teacher like you when I was a kid.
