@santosh.kessranii: Ustad Muhammad Yousuf (1940–1997) was a legendary folk and playback singer, widely regarded as one of the most melodic voices in Sindhi music history. Born in Hyderabad, Sindh, into a musical family, he trained for over a decade under the legendary classical vocalist Ustad Manzoor Ali Khan. He rose to prominence in the 1950s through Radio Pakistan and went on to become a dominant playback singer for the Sindhi film industry during the 1970s and 1980s, frequently collaborating with iconic artists like Madam Noor Jehan and Abida Parveen. Best known for his soulful renditions of Sufi poetry—including the works of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Sachal Sarmast—he beautifully blended classical training with folk traditions. In recognition of his immense contributions to music, he was honored with the prestigious Pride of Performance award.
