My dad was a pathological liar. My dad once lied to my former stepmother and told her “Look, you see she’s wearing that jacket because she’s been shooting up drugs and that I was covering track marks!” We had traveled from DFW to El Paso and he had mentioned we were crossing the sierra Blanca desert and I learned that in my 6th grade history class that it can get cold in the desert at night so wore a light jacket. I was 12 years old!!! No track marks to show!! I had no job so how would I even buy drugs and he was controlling AF. I think He lied to her to gain sympathy from her and/or to persuade her that she needed to help him and get her back.
