Dr. Ellie, I found out today that my son (turns 5 in June) has a cavity growing on a molar. The dentist has already scheduled him June 23 to have his cavity filled. I’m just not comfortable with this. If he follows your kids regimen (xylitol, ACTs kids mouthwash, xylitol mints, etc.) do you think I can cancel his appointment and reverse his cavity? Or at least keep it maintained until it falls out and an adult tooth grows in? I’m lost on what to do.

one of my teeth that had sliver metallic filling replaced with a crown made of ceramic because the old metallic filling caused cracks to my tooth. I didn't regret for making decision to choose ceramic crown rather than plastic. the feel of ceramic also feels realistic when my tongue touches it. ✨

The dentist one day told me I had practically all my molars with cavities and I had them all filled. I should’ve definitely gotten a second opinion.

I have silver fillings over 25 yrs old. Had 2 replaced with composite and within one month had a root canal on one and other one extracted. I have 3 left with silver. not planning on touching them at all

I’ve had 8 fillings at 18, I’m 23 and have more and my filings are gone. Cavity’s on all bottom of teeth by my gums. I’m just screwed
