@rowanmx: If you truly want to see all of China, you probably need several years. I only had 16 days and tried to make the most out of it. I went to Shanghai, Changsha, Zhangjiajie, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Beijing. For each location, I shared the core activities that I did. i am learning a lot from your posts, thank you so much! in beijing especially in the forbidden city, everyone says that it is best to go early as soon as it opens at 8:30, i want to go there early too but at the same time I've seen people saying that going with a guide is the best thing you can do. Hence, i am very confused on which route to take, any advice? also, are there any guides that start at 8:30 am?
