@charlietranpiano: One of the hardest aspects of playing piano is coordination between the two hands. All you really need to do, though, is to challenge the coordination with progressively challenging exercises. Here I show you three comping patterns to play in the LH while the RH freely solos with nonstop 8th notes. I've found this to be universally helpful for all students, but depending on the individual, there may be many more individualized exercises you'd need to practice in order to achieve the freedom you're looking for. This is one of those challenges that is so unique with each person. Learning scales and breaking down theory concepts can be quite universal, but coordination between the hands... not so much. So if you've been struggling with getting both hands to work together, then you're missing out on a whole world of possibilities in your playing.
