Think pitas, wraps, salads, grain bowls, falafel is the perfect addition 😎 Ingredients: 200g dried chickpeas, soaked overnight. 1/2 cup of chopped parsley 3/4 cup chopped coriander 4 cloves garlic 1 tsp salt Spices: 2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp cardamom 1 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp gram or other flour 1/3 of a large white onion 1L Neutral oil (for frying) Method: 🌱 pulse chickpeas in a food processor until the texture resembles chunky-ish breadcrumbs. Remove the chickpeas and add the herbs, onion and garlic. Pulse until well combined. 🌱 mix the chickpeas, blended fresh herbs, baking powder, flour and spices. Season to taste, it will taste a little bitter but that’s ok. Shape into balls. They’ll feel like they’re going to fall apart, but they won’t - promise! 🌱 heat oil in a deep pot and test with a small piece of mixture. If it fizzes like a waterfall (not too aggressively), it should be fine. Ideally you want the oil at 300 degrees so if you have a thermometer use this! If not, take extra care.
