A piece of advice from someone who’s going on 12 years this year and just getting married this year. If your relationship is meant to be, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been together, marriage is simply papers to sign and a day for fun. The commitment from day one is the only thing that matters. Doesn’t matter HOW LONG it takes to get married, it only means something if it’s ACTUALLY going to last. Lots of people forget that. Marriage is paperwork for the government, commitment to each other is what should truly be forever.

My wife and I have had so many battles we’ve faced together. We struggled so hard living in my apartment for 4 years. Finally bought a house in December. Things are peaceful for once in our lives. Not perfect. But the life we’ve dreamt of is coming our way. Slowly but surely. This isn’t our dream home, jobs, etc. but we are so blessed with not only where we’re at now, but to have each other

Literally best advice I tell anyone that’s thinking of getting married or just got married, is at 18 years old when I got married and now 23 years old so far the hardest lesson I learned is YALL ARE A TEAM and there’s times where one will do more than other and vice versa but don’t leave your teammate behind, everything is teamwork and soon yall realize that you guys can push pull threw a lot of things
