facts. as an owner operated business I can 100% agree that the business isn't worth much and too hard to grow. you should just start your own. I wouldn't ever buy an owner operated business after being one for 6 years. I'm at the stage of stepping out of the field, building systems etc....and If I were to buy another business I would only ever consider one that is at least 90% employee run and has solid systems and foundation that I could come in at the top level and improve.
