@legacywealthmindset: I’m not very good at golf. In fact, some days it feels like the golf ball and I are playing two completely different games. But I keep showing up. Not because I’m chasing a low handicap. Not because I need to impress anyone. And definitely not because every round goes well. I keep showing up because of how golf makes me feel. There’s something about being on a golf course that changes my state of mind. The quiet. The open space. The sound of birds in the distance. The way the sun hits the fairway in the early morning. The rhythm of walking from shot to shot. Golf reminds me to slow down. It reminds me that progress takes time. It reminds me that frustration is often just part of learning something worthwhile. The funny thing is, I can leave a course after playing terribly and still feel like I won. Because the real reward wasn’t my scorecard. The reward was spending a few hours in an environment that elevates my energy, clears my mind, and helps me reconnect with what matters. I know my game will improve. If I keep practicing, there will come a day when my swing is more consistent, my short game is sharper, and my rounds are more competitive. But until then, I’m enjoying the journey. Sometimes the value of an activity isn’t found in how good you are at it. It’s found in who you become while doing it. And that’s why I’ll keep showing up. What’s something you’re not great at yet, but you keep doing because you love how it makes you feel?
