I wouldn’t hate on 3d printing IF that person designed the product and created a beautiful version of it (sanded properly, maybe even coated with nice paint or something)

THIS IS LAND FILL^^^ I use a 3D printer, I model each piece I print on a computer from scratch! It then takes me days to prepare them all for painting and assembly! This was my final project at university I now have a degree in model making special effects for tv and film 🥲

To everyone, yes, 3d printing is an art if you actually design it, color it etc! Not just download anything, print a dozens of times and just... hope to sell?

If you are the person creating the STL files and designs for the 3D Prints that is art and belongs at an art/crafting fair, also she did have a big selection of woodworking crafts there too.. I will say the 3D stuff she had did look like those general free use prints.

Im modeling 3d stuff myself for cosplays or for fun, but i dont enjoy going to events and seeing mass produced free models, nobody wants that, stop trying to sell that in public spaces. Its literally everywhere.

It’s a learning thing I went and sold dog treats at a car boot. I spent £10 and took £10 back. Never went again. But learnt it wasn’t the right fit for my business.

3D printing isnt art. it can be used in art. like if you are printing parts of a bigger piece. I saw someone building a huuuuuge dollhouse without glue, they used small nails an 3D printed hooks and latches to hold pieces together. 3D printing is a tool to make parts of a bigger thing that can become pieces of art
