Meanwhile a star will crumble under the pressure & become an average player. A player overlooked & disregarded thinking “when will I get my opportunity ?” Will get his opportunity. A coach who has been struggling not sleeping a night, spending every waking moment on a team that doesn’t have the top skill, but has elite fundamentals bc of the coach hard work — they will win a big game & think “We did it.” A new innovation / strategy will appear the game will evolve - someone will win game after game & after a handful of rounds will be thinking “can we really do it? Is this happening?” A few more wins & it becomes “we can actually win this thing” & when no one else believes we believed in ourselves. & that team will be crowned champion — written in the record book in ink. Because the body will age, memories will fade but championships? Championships are forever.
