My biggest flex? Staying single until my kids finished high school. Not because I don’t want love. I do. But after the divorce, after a couple of relationships that started beautiful and turned into chaos — I wasn’t willing to shuffle my kids between households again. They were already sharing enough. They needed me present. So I chose that. Does it get lonely? Absolutely. This isn’t a badge of honor. It’s just a choice I made with my whole chest and zero regrets. If you feel like you’re failing because you don’t have a partner — you’re not. Knowing what you won’t settle for isn’t closing a door. It’s keeping the right one open. And to my kids — you’re worth every single second to me. I didn’t sacrifice anything. I won the lottery of time with you.
