The Abbey Yung Method 2.0 is on its way, but before I share it, I wanted to explain this change that I decided to make to my shampoo categories. I know that this is LONG, but I really wanted to explain this as clearly as possible based on all the questions I’ve been seeing about shampoo since I first posted The Abbey Yung Method! With so many different benefits out there, it can be really confusing to navigate this category. So my goal is to make it easier to figure out what kind of shampoo you need to use for your specific scalp + hair needs. As always, my recommendation is *not* that you should use all of these products or follow all of these steps every wash day. Instead, I’d start with a deep cleaning shampoo + your top priority if that deep cleaning shampoo doesn’t cover it (i.e. controlling uncomfortable scalp symptoms, removing hard water deposits, strengthening damaged hair and making it feel softer & smoother, reducing shedding, promoting scalp health, or growing healthier hair).
