@cpap_sleep_coach: You lie there with your mask on, air blowing, straps adjusted, trying to get comfortable — and right next to you your partner closes their eyes and is out in three minutes flat. No equipment. No ritual. No anxiety about whether tonight will be the night it finally works. Just sleep. And something about watching that can feel like a small heartbreak. Jealousy over something as basic as falling asleep is not something most people admit out loud. But it’s real and it’s heavy and it has a way of making bedtime feel even lonelier than it already does. What’s important to remember is that you’re not doing something harder than your partner because you’re weaker. You’re doing something harder because you’re dealing with something they’re not. Sleep apnea is a medical condition that asked something significant of you. The jealousy makes sense. And so does the grief underneath it. You’re not alone in this even when it feels that way at 1am. 💙 This video is for educational and informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
