My mom was adopted from Georgia Tann and the Tennessee Children’s society- but she wasn’t stolen, her mother was a teen mom who went there because she couldn’t keep the baby. My mom met her bio mom when she was 65 years old 🥹

💯 think that this was a thing back in the day. Unwed mother's homes were still a thing in the late 60s. My mother was sent to one whenever she was 16, with my brother. They were coerced, especially if their parents were on board with "adoption" as a way to deal with unmarried pregnant minors.
