Being patient and understanding with an avoidant is hard. It gets so exhausting when I keep making an effort to walk the line of showing I still want to talk, while also respecting when she wants space and isn't interested. What really frustrates me is how I'm expected to keep showing an interest in spending time together, despite her always saying she doesn't wanna talk or hang out. But then I get told I'm being "distant" the moment I stop making those efforts.

He blocked me. Said he didn’t love me anymore. And , me with an anxious attachment still showed up to his house trying to talk to him a week after the break up. He said “ I’ve already said everything I needed to say. Refused to talk to me and was asked to leave. “ I left. I was crushed. It’s been two weeks he never reached out. But two weeks before he broke up with me he said he loved me. It was so confusing. Anyway. I’m trying to learn from my attachment style. I’ve left him alone ever since. I still love him. But I just think he’s ever going to come back. So I’m trying to move on. In the healthiest way possible . By healing myself. But I miss him.

Wake up and chose yourself. Learned the hard way… better today than many years ago. Dont waste your life waiting for someone to chose you, they need to heal, you aren’t responsible for their actions and behavior, we were always sold a lie- fix them. Fix yourself and move on! They are not worth your time!!

remember to not just say this stuff but to make your actions feel them too, give them space but check on them, the only way to make them actually comfortable to slowly realize you're not there to control them but to support them. basically, is like getting a rescued animal, we're always in a fight or flight mode, and we're so used to being alone, is hard to not be
