@anytsugi: I had the pleasure of creating a kintsugi process video for @Tatcha . In Japan, there has long been a mindset of “repairing” rather than “discarding” broken things. Rather than hiding flaws, kintsugi embraces them — finding beauty in imperfection, and honoring the passage of time. This is the essence of wabi-sabi, a uniquely Japanese aesthetic philosophy. Kintsugi is a traditional craft deeply rooted in that spirit. Personally, ever since I started practicing kintsugi, I’ve found myself taking much better care of the things I own.
