As a therapist, I think that the Kevin character WAS doing everything intentionally, but he was able to play it off because of his persona as the “lovable oaf”.

gaslighting is a way of invalidating a persons lived experience and their reality, which leads to them losing trust in themselves, and outsourcing their decisions to someone they trust as being more "capable" .

When I started this show I did not know what it was and I was so turned off by Kevin the first moment that I almost didn't want to finish the show but I'm glad I stuck with it because it was probably one of the best shows I've ever seen
