@yono.soycelosa: This is what we did to set up our son for financial success as an adult: 1. Added him as an authorized user on one of our credit cards at the age of 15. 2. Opened up a checking and savings account to teach him how many moves. 3. Open up a Roth IRA, not only helping to establish him financially now, but later on in his adult life as well! 4. Making sure all small amounts of cash that come from birthday gifts, graduation gifts, or even payouts from class action lawsuits is thrown into savings or some sort of an investment account. Once you get everything set up and established for your kid, it’s really easy to maintain.
