i agree with some of things you said but i feel like its a different experience when you start dating someone at age 15, my fiance and i (22&26) had been together for 1 year 7 months when we got engaged. but when you meet after your formative highschool years, have a steady income, and live together you learn enough (in my opinion) about eachother. i would say people change most from ages 15-20, its going from childhood to adulthood. so no shade but personalyyyy i would not have waited 5 years for my bf to propose because i would question if he was even serious about me. to each their own though 🥰

100% agree me and my bf met when we were freshly 19 and 22 and now we’re turning 22 and 25 and still enjoy dating! If you’re truly with someone you love it doesn’t matter what the label is. I also think you should be very comfortable with eachother like we’ve lived together and experienced a lot and are still strong so it says enough for how we both feel about eachother.

as someone who’s been with their other half for six years since 15 as well i totally agree! we’re 22 but in no rush to get married because we’re aware we aren’t in the right space for it just yet. no one should feel rushed to get married especially if they think it’s all about having a rock on your hand. our time will come one day and while i’m so excited for that, i’m comfortable staying in the dating stage for a few more years and thankfully he feels the same :)
