They are comparing two different cuts the American is the rib where the ribeye comes from which has a layer of fat the is between cap of the ribeye and the other countries are the t bone end of the short loin, basically the NY strip if you were to bone out the TBone which is leaner and does not have that fat that runs through the rib. They need to compare the exact same cuts

So just so everybody understands, you can get corn fed grass fed, you can get Wagyu, you can get or whatever you want in America. One steak is not indicative of an entire nation in any of these cases.
