This is a really good take that I'm surprised I haven't thought of before, but in 1984 it also says if Thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought, by reducing what was supposed to be actual commenting on the video with mindless engagement bait and trying to be relatable, is it possible that this is spreading?

Just look at that cherry on top sticker. People just use it anywhere, even when there isn’t a "cherry on top" but what they try to comment that way is the MAIN part of the video (aka the cake when staying that allegory).
