My children will make mistakes. I will too. What matters to me is that we keep learning, keep returning to Allah and keep trying. I don’t want to raise children who simply know how to look Muslim. I want to raise children who know Allah, have good character, understand their deen and feel safe enough to grow through their mistakes. Because tarbiyyah isn’t about raising perfect children.
