Patience was essential throughout my weight loss journey... and now it's building my recovery. Healing, just like transformation, doesn't happen overnight. It's slow, it's uncomfortable, and a lot of the time it feels invisible. Just like every small choice I made on my weight loss journey added up — every reminder to trust my new mindset, every small habit I built, every journal entry where I felt like I was writing the same thing over and over, every time the scale didn’t move but I kept going anyway — I know that now, every small moment of rest, every small step forward (even when it doesn’t feel like enough) is adding up too. It’s all building something I just can’t see yet. Going from nearly 400lbs, to losing 215lbs naturally, to living with loose skin, to having my first skin removal surgery, to dealing with 20+ lbs of swelling after surgery, and now finally starting to see more of my results 10 weeks later... every part of this journey has required patience. People who choose patience are people who believe in something bigger than the moment they're in. Patience means having the strength to trust what you can't see yet. It’s the courage to keep showing up when you can’t rely on results for motivation. Choosing patience means choosing yourself. Choosing your growth, your healing, your future… even when it would be easier to give up. Patience isn’t passive. It’s showing up every day with resilience, faith and hope. It’s deciding to trust the process when it makes more sense to be discouraged. Patience demands steadiness and softness. And it always pays off. Maybe not always in the way you hoped, but maybe in the way that is best for you. Fully trusting @modernplasticsurgery and the @Advanced Lipedema Treatment program at The Roxbury lnstitute make having patience a little easier for me! 😉 #DrShawnMoshrefi #ALTProgram #Partner #looseskin #beforeandafter
