I was heavily criticised when I took the decision of moving to Switzerland after finishing medical school in northern Spain. I was a pioneer in doing so, as the number of doctors from my university who emigrated back then could be counted with a hand. Drop rates are high. And I am not going to lie, combining this with running 13 hours a week wasn't easy. But yes, life as a consultant gets better, but its still a lot of work!
