Btw, I don't recommend using this all the time. Holding crouch actually decreases your speed with each hop, and on higher level battles where every unit matters you don't wanna lose speed on purpose.

btw, the tech actually is a feature in the game, the white outline u see is a sign that your swing is primed and thus will have more reach

downsides of this is that crouch slashing removes 2 dashes and overall slows you down use it rarely in clashes to break the tempo similarly to how you should use casti
