This happened to me, I got told on a Friday I did not get the position, I was scheduled all weekend. I called out that weekend and showed up Monday morning turned in all my uniforms and stuff. The person they hired quit after 2 weeks because with me gone they had to fill in on my schedule and didn't get the hours they were originally promised

I did a job for over a year & had to "apply" for it & didn't get it! Yeah, I'm looking for another job.

I worked for a company for 5 years. We got bought out, and they brought in someone with only 6 months of experience to be my boss. I was even asked to continue his training, so I quit.

Same thing happened to me years ago. I was fired soon after I refused to train them…. ( oh and they were my new boss). 🙄

I worked at Lowe's in College as always saw this happen to fellow coworkers a lot on new management or team positions when they open up. They would either transfer to a new department or simply quit. Upper management excuse to them always was they were too good in their current role. one friend, had 12 years in the department and was a licensed plumber working side jobs but was looked over for someone with no experience or qualifications to lead the department so he left and started his own business, was sad to see him go but he made the right move.
