Airline industry guy. Tough experience, but super common in the south in the summer. DFW, ATL, MIA all ripe for diversions due to storms. I would never separate from my luggage

We just had a horrible flight cancellation experience otw to Paris and we got United/ chase to pay for the canceled flight, hotel we had to book, uber to new airport, missed hotel night and the anniversary dinner we missed 🙌🏻

That happened to me once. Delta is supposed to compensate you for this. I submitted a claim and they paid for my hotel at the Four Seasons Atlanta and Ubers.
