@nature: Microplastics have a newly discovered talent: teaming up with greenhouse gases to heat Earth’s atmosphere. A recent paper in Nature Climate Chance investigated the radiative forcing of airborne microplastics and found that these pesky particles aren’t just causing trouble in our water and in our bodies—they should be factored into our climate models, too. - Hosted & Produced by @simonoxfphys - Written & Produced by Tristan Sharman - Edited & Produced by Maren Hunsberger - Supervising Producer: Shamini Bundell - Stock Music: Adobe Stock / ADMIRE From Liu, Y., et al. 2026. “Atmospheric warming contributions from airborne microplastics and nanoplastics”. Finally, this is the first time someone had told me -why- it's a problem that microplastics are everywhere

🍗 Stop saying
🍗 Stop saying "I'm cooking the chicken"… tell us HOW you're cooking it! 👨‍🍳 "Cooking" is correct, but it's very general. Native speakers usually choose a more precise verb. Here are five you can use today: 🫕 I'm boiling the chicken. (in hot water) 🔥 I'm grilling the chicken. (over a flame or on a grill) ♨️ I'm roasting the chicken. (in the oven) 🍳 I'm frying the chicken. (in hot oil) 🔪 I'm chopping the chicken. (cutting it into pieces) ⚠️ Teacher's note: "chopping" is preparation, not a cooking method. You chop the chicken first, then you cook it! ✏️ Grammar tip: we use the present continuous (I'm + verb-ing) for something happening right now: "I'm frying the chicken for dinner." 💬 Your turn! How do you like your chicken? Write one sentence in the comments, e.g. "I like grilled chicken." 📌 Save this video and practise saying each sentence aloud. Small daily practice makes a big difference! — 🍗 تەنها مەڵێ «I'm cooking the chicken»… ✏️ تێبینی ڕێزمان: بۆ کارێک کە ئێستا ڕوودەدات، (I'm + verb-ing) بەکاردەهێنین: "I'm frying the chicken for dinner." 💬 نۆرەی تۆیە! حەز دەکەیت مریشک چۆن بخۆیت؟ ڕستەیەک بە ئینگلیزی لە کۆمێنت بنووسە، بۆ نموونە: "I like grilled chicken." 📌 ڤیدیۆکە پاشەکەوت بکە و هەر ڕستەیەک بە دەنگی بەرز دووبارە بکەرەوە. ڕاهێنانی کەمی ڕۆژانە جیاوازییەکی گەورە دروست دەکات!
