@jessie_morales: Walking into this appointment, I had a lot of questions... and walking out, I finally feel informed, empowered, and at peace with my next steps This was just a small glimpse into a very long, detailed conversation with my breast surgical oncologist. We discussed everything... a double mastectomy (skin-sparing), tissue expanders, nipple removal, and lymph node removal...and what each step means for my body and my future. There's so much that goes into these decisions... and I'm sure there are still things I'll continue learning along the way. But what matters most is that I feel confident moving forward with what's best for me. I want to gently say this because it matters: + Every breast cancer journey is different Every body is different Every decision is deeply personal Just because someone's path doesn't look like yours doesn't make it wrong. We're all doing the best we can with the information, support, and circumstances we have.
