If you asked me to identify different plants, vegetables, or even basic gardening tools, I'd probably get most of them wrong. I've never really spent time learning how gardens work, so a lot of the terminology just goes over my head. Whenever people start talking about soil types, fertilizers, compost, planting seasons, or irrigation systems, I'm usually sitting there like, "Wait, what?" It feels like a completely different world to me. Some people seem to know exactly when to plant tomatoes, how much water a plant needs, or why certain leaves change color, but I genuinely have no clue. The funny thing is that I actually think gardening is pretty cool. Seeing someone grow their own vegetables, fruits, or flowers is impressive. The problem is that I never got into it myself, so I never learned the basics. If you handed me a packet of seeds and told me to start a garden, I'd probably end up Googling every single step because I'd have no idea where to begin. To be real, my knowledge of gardening is basically close to zero. I know plants need sunlight and water, and that's about where my expertise ends. Beyond that, I'm pretty much lost. So if I ask questions that seem obvious or make mistakes when talking about gardening, that's because I'm still trying to figure everything out. I'm not trying to sound clueless — I just genuinely don't know much about the whole gardening scene yet.
