I moved to a new city when I was 30 and managed to make form a friend group within a few months. First, I started off by just meeting one person. And then I met that person‘s friends. And I started a group text with everybody and began inviting people to things. Then I became better friends with other members of the group and started to meet their friends too. And then I brought those people and their friends into the group as well. By that point, it was easy to throw a party with a whole bunch of people there. As someone who was new to town, I was even introducing people who had never met before. I was also willing to go to pretty much anything anyone invited me to go to, even if it wasn’t something I was naturally interested in. Have you ever made friends starting from zero?
