@balancedcanineacademy: Comments aren’t filtered on this one. Yall want to talk shit? Now’s your time to shine! ☀️ If you don’t believe in balanced dog training, hate to tell you, but no amount of you harassing me is going to change my mind, or my clients minds, or the MANY people that are realistic about living with predatory animals in our homes like they’re part of our family. Dogs have natural instincts that lead them to become aggressive and every single dog can be aggressive. Dogs learn naturally through corrections. You’re welcome to train your dogs how you wish, but stop harassing those that feel differently than you. Let’s keep helping dogs in our own way. #DogTraining #dogtrainingtips #dogtrainer #dogs
"I dOn'T pUnCh dOgS" -- sure chief, you just strike them with a 2/3 closed hand in a manner consistent with punching, resulting in a dog whimpering involuntarily. Correction is one thing; what you're doing is striking and that's unnecessary and cruel.

Animals end up in shelter because of these ignorant positive cookie dog people. I wonder how they would train horses who attack people as fillies and these fillies grow up in 600kg animals.

Dogs will correct EACH OTHER by nipping. You are speaking their language from a place of experience, I commend u. Based on the comments it seems like u take escalated cases that are either this or no more being alive.

I've seen the video of you just punching a dog in its chest, FULL FIST, punching them. You pathetic little weasel.
It's so easy to raise dogs to be angels. The most I've ever had to be physical with one of my dogs is a smack on their rear when I catch them doing something very bad. doing what you do is going to make a dog scared of you, not respect you. they listen cause they don't want to be hit again.
if you think having to get that physically violent with a dog is necessary, you're a moron. stop abusing them.

so i just want to make it apparent that the person who made that comment clearly has never seen anyone train dogs or try to correct their behavior. cesar millan, who is also a famous dog trainer/dog whisperer, also nudges dogs to correct them. and that’s what you’re SUPPOSED to do. the dogs may simply behave that way in the first place because they were never corrected. i understand being uninformed, but saying YOU out of all people is punching dogs is just out of line lol

punching a dog is very likely to cause serious bodily injury. its not just a conversation about punishment versus reward

a punch is vwry different then a touch correction. grsnted i primarily trsined usinf positive reinforcement however when working with human aggressive dofs or dog aggressive dogs, yes I also first established that I am in control not the dog then yes we csn use reward also. you can't use just one method, it just doesnt work. the reason I primsrily used posirice renforcement was because my clients had dogs thst pulled on a leash or peed in the house or needed kennel training. those are situations where touch correction or more "harsh" corrections are not needed. so thank you for saying this as well

This guy works with dogs who most people would put down to give the dog a chance this man would never harm the dogs, you can see he’s not full on punching them, if he wanted to hurt the dog he wouldn’t be working this much to keep the dogs from being put under

genuine question: if the dog is trying to bite because it’s scared, would correcting it like this make it worse? i know if someone got in my face (which would be scary) i’d punch them, then if they hurt me, i may not hit anyone again, but i’d be even more fearful of people getting that close to me. the problem is therefore not solved, as im still scared of people. i know im not a dog, so im wondering if the thought process is the same. when is this correction appropriate to use, and when is it not?

ive had the same fight with my in laws with my Doberman shar pei wanting to nip and show teeth when I walk over and tell him to get off the couch so when he tries to bite i stick my hand in his mouth and pushed his tongue down with my thumb no harm but he still screams out of fear so they think im hurting him but its just him knowing he did wrong

People are such PUSHOVERS. Dogs whimper and scream sometimes even when they HAVENT been hit. My dog used to scream bloody murder when a cat even hissed at him. Nothing ever touched him! Dogs are VOCAL animals! They tell you what they think!

Same people saying you shouldn’t correct aggressive dogs that way, are probably the first ones yelling put a dog down as soon as it attacks the shit out of someone🙄
