This is a really interesting interview with Sarah Jessica Parker from October 1993, where she talks to Bob Costas very candidly about how “Hocus Pocus” was a disappointment, also saying that “Disney made a business decision” to cut a lot of the witches’ material from the movie and make it more “child friendly”. It’s fascinating to hear her discuss this, knowing now how much of a huge hit the movie would eventually become.
