I’m a RN currently in Med School. I am on the spectrum and I feel like I’ve achieved so much because my parents did not treat me like I had a disability.

THANK YOU! As a teacher, they are fully capable of doing a lot of things. Too smart to not be disciplined!

My cousin with autism has very specific jobs he does around his home. He knows his jobs and he does them on time every single day. He is now 60 years old, he’s been working at McDonalds for 35 years. He’s literally employee of the month EVERY month. 🥰

My son has autism and I did the exact same thing. He is now 28 and has been living on his own for the last 9 years. When he was 16 I was told by his case manager that he wouldn’t be able to live alone or work. I refused to accept that reality.

my daughter is autistic and when we found out.. I didn't allow anyone to treat her differently.. we handled everything exactly the way I did with my son .. she is 25 and holds jobs and functions normally.. educational wise we did have to take more time for her to learn . they know ..
