@conversationswithevan: Replying to @Water-n-sun bitcoin is not trying to compete with Visa—most bitcoiners I know would call the slowness and expense of bitcoin a feature (not a bug) that help it’s case as a store of value (the “realest” use case any cryptocurrency has ever had) — #learn #crypto #bitcoin #blockchain #investing
ok, this is abit off topic to bitcoin question but where is a good place to buy and store monareo ? and is it only monaero to monaero transactions ?

Bitcoin is now the equivalent of trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. You are trying to fit Bitcoin’s “features” into a real world use. There is zero doubt that Bitcoin is the emperor’s new clothes, it’s just a case of if people wake up to that or there is a collective, long term, “social agreement” as there is currently with fiat currency, that the value is there and sustained. There is still the very real risk that faith could erode from Bitcoin and its value melt away.

Bitcoin's seven transactions per second is a feature, not a bug. Keeping blocks small and slow means the blockchain stays manageable, so anyone can run a full node on cheap hardware. That's what keeps Bitcoin truly decentralized.

Austin Cook :
If we judge from the original design to be peer to peer electronic cash (as stated in its whitepaper) then i can see that argument. If we judge from the narrative of store of value which was brought about over the many years then yes it’s fine. Really depends on the POV

nope, that is so much faster then what we have now to money internationally, on the retail side needs to able to address more transactions based on size of retail market share but L2 solutions could address this I think.
