I don't live in the US so I, supposedly, don't use a version of the app controlled by the Ellisons and I still have the same issue. ByteDance global could still do this autonomously but who knows.

My theory is it also makes us a little less likely to notice the absurd amount of repetition from bots but your theory makes a lot of sense too

they are also limiting comment interaction. I contacted them because I was not getting responses to any comment I made or of any comment in the video. They responded (I posted a picture of their response) that it is NOT a bug, but a new feature they are "testing".

I get my comments removed everyday, without a notification. Like I get violated on some, appeal and win or lose but some comments just go off into a void and I never see them again.

kinda but not just. its any remotely negative word, regardless of context. its the easiest, cheapest way to do content moderation, not caring at all that most are actually false positives
