same with sex and gender. I was explaining hermaphroditism in humans and how chromosomes not always define your genitals to stop people with the "biological sex" argument and then someone straightforward asked me "what's a woman, then?" and I honestly didn't have an answer. The common answer would be "whoever feels like a woman, that's a woman" but that doesn't actually answer the question; that's the acknowledgement of the respect we all should have towards other people, but not a definition per sé. The spectrum and nuance is so broad that it's hard to pinpoint.
