My uncle mixes used motor oil with linseed oil 50/50 for the wooden fence around his farm.

Do NOT use diesel oil. I made that mistake. I also use vegetable oil, fish oil, motor oil. Usually 2-3 coats & then it’s just maintenance after that. Once a year.

I touched the wood on mine and then used a 50/50 used diesel oil and diesel. only 1 coat

Used diesel oil is what we always used for trailer decks but also for fences, dog houses etc..

Grandparents owned an old business with wood floors. Every few years they would mop the floor in motor oil. 80 year old floors looked great
