I dont fckin get these comments - I fully understand what you mean, as someone who likes to draw and watercolor as a hobby, without stakes, yet still feels paralized to start if i dont happen to have a clear idea of what im planning and how.. like it feels like my time and materials and me ‘doing art’ is only worth it if the “PRODUCT” at the end is ‘artistic enough’ or looks good enough…. A limiting belief / feeling! When irl making marks is also fun and feels fun and if the end result is smtg i dont like, that is okay. More paper and time for tomorrow to start another

An art teacher once asked me to do an abstract picture, then explain why I made certain choices, then told me why it was wrong.

I get so anxious about wasting my materials, forgetting it's about the feelings/journey, not always the result

🌟Trips🌟 Perfectionism coach :
perfectionism!!! perfectionism stops people doing so much, especially creative things. when people are taught they have to be productive and perfect they aren't going to create for the joy of it! I love everything you've said here
