over a certain amount, you can legally leave it with the employer managed plan in most states. I would honestly check your state laws and see if it was even legal for the original employer to transfer it. I would also look for your most recent statement and hire a lawyer to help u

i got a letter today that my hsa was going to go to the state. my hsa had been inactive for a while..i left it in there. omg..i had to run and roll it over. 😭

you can see what your owed but has been unclaimed on your states website for unclaimed funds, you can likely get it there

The level of calm has me shocked round one. The amount of comments of people who just let their 401k money sit post employment and don’t check on it at all or try to move it has me shocked round 2. These are things we should teach in high school.
