"Putting together there own furniture" please do ur research before saying that. Ikea passing the transport + building of the furniture down to the consumer made them way more affordable. It reached the consumer directly

that's not a good metric to use. just bc the price grows doesn't mean it didn't benefit us. you would have to compare the price growth with and without the invisible labor. the price might have grown faster without invisible labor.

Our grocery store went all self checkout during Covid and that was miserable. I have to shop for the food unload It then scan it and bag it then load it into car then unload at home then put it away . Exhausting

I refuse to check myself out. I literally left my groceries on the belt of a Kroger register once when I was told their last cashier had left an hour earlier and that self checkout was the only option.

I don't like the way they bag my stuff when I go to the grocery store and I don't like waiting in long lines, self-checking at the airport it's faster, and I don't have to tip anyone for pumping my gas when I can do it myself. I am okay with this extra labor because it benefits me
