i feel like it should mostly be individually assessed but livestreams should def not be allowed at all

Should be restricted like how school WiFi restricted certain websites. Plus phones are allowed on certain wards so why no restrictions on others?

It can be really harmful, I regret some things I posted years ago, and am a little embarrassed about it, but then I think that also shows growth! Communal areas is a big no no! And I think it’s disrespectful and could be dangerous to have others in the back ground! Individually assessed and that phone access can and will be taken away if it’s used wrong!

i think definitely no live streams and tiktok being blocked from phones, instagram and snapchat are less harmful but 100% not tiktok

I don’t regret having access to my phone for my time in hosp last year. It massively kept me entertained and busy when I wasn’t able to access communal areas and activities for a lot of the time due to multiple reasons including accessibility as a wheelchair user. There is very little to do out of hours. There were people who shouldn’t have had their phone but did. Should be individually assessed and no filming in communal areas - this needs to be *strongly* enforced as it wasn’t enforced properly in my hosp. The legal justifications to take it away are also pretty limited

I don’t think social media should be allowed. There is a known negative correlation between social media and mental health.

No live-streaming or posting content but should be allowed. Should be individually assessed too.

From a staff prospective I think individually accessed would work well! Just protect people from putting themselves at risk posting things they may late regret when they start feeling better! No communal area filming maybe I’m even a an agreement signed to say they won’t post about their current location whilst in hospital just to keep themselves and others safe too, I’m all for people talking about their negative experiences with certain hospitals or wards but I think it’s so much safer to do so once they’re discharged just to keep everyone protected

I think it should be individually assessed, like no one should be going live at all but having it can be a good distraction

I think social media should be banned but things like WhatsApp should be allowed. Sometimes lifelines to to the outside world is essential

The hospital I was in had a way to block the phone’s camera from working, it wasn’t in place when I was there we just weren’t allowed phones, but I think it seems like the best way to preserve autonomy while also keeping everyone safe (providing there’s no actual reason for a person to not have their phone obvs)

Generally think it’s so harmful. On the ward I was on phones were banned and I’m sooo glad they were. We had an hour to make calls/text to people but that was about it

I found it an excellent way to keep track of friends and the outside world but I won't think people should be allowed to livestream or post photos or videos. it's not helpful for anyone

I think it should be person specific tbh. and WiFi turned off/certain websites/apps blocked at 11pm which would be horrible to experience, but I think it would cause less chaos at night time.
