@mostly_from_scratch: The easiest loaf you'll ever make 🍞 No kneading, just a few simple folds to build strength in the dough. Ingredients (Tesco prices): • 500g bread flour - £0.47 (1.5kg £1.40) • 2 tsp yeast - £0.11 (100g £1.50) • 2 tsp salt (from cupboard) • 375ml warm water Total cost: £0.58 Method: Mix all the ingredients together, cover and leave for 1 hour. Stretch and fold, then leave for 30 minutes. Stretch and fold again, then leave for 30 minutes. Coil fold, then leave for 30 minutes. Shape the dough and leave for a final 30 minutes. Bake in a preheated Dutch oven at 230°C for 25 minutes with the lid on, then 10 minutes with the lid off until golden. #learntobake #simplebread #easybread #beginnerbread #crustyloaf
My dough does not look like that 🤭 I used the right ingredients and measured it out. But it’s not stretching like yours 😂😂😂

You only need 2 stretch and folds at 30 mins apart - maximum. Give it a go and compare against the recipe given here. There’s no difference. I forget the account but a lady tested both methods because making bread is so over complicated and she wanted to share how easy it actually is. Remember, people having been making bread for generations and as is the case in most things these days, we just over complicate things that are actually really simple.
