@juss_whitney: Internships should be about learning and mentorship, not free labor. When companies use a rotating cycle of interns to replace paid positions, they exploit young talent and undermine fair wages. Let’s raise awareness about the importance of ethical internship practices.✅ #inservicetraining #workethics #WIL
Today is 28 June 2026, it’s a Sunday, and guess where I’m at….??? At Work as a HR intern🤧😭

My question is why is your video not going viral?? Im currently doing an internship somewhere and I’ll tell you we are doing the work of people who should be hired and paid the relevant income but no each year they recruit students from colleges to do that work instead of hiring 💔

You have to start somewhere mamazi… Experience doesn’t miraculously fall from the sky… Internships are for giving you workplace experience, a stepping stone to get an “actual” job, doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll work there after the programme…

The “YES Programme” does provide valuable experience, but it can be frustrating that after completing the programme, many young people still struggle to secure permanent employment and are no longer eligible to apply again. There needs to be stronger pathways from internships to sustainable jobs.

You want experience, they want an additional employee that they can train to do their work. Guys, just appreciate the experience that you get. Qualification plus experience opens up employment opportunities. Contract work is not guaranteed to end on employment. Interns are not the only people who are on contracts. And contracts end. Read your contract agreements.

I disagree. Think about it you just came out university and afterwards you want to start with a heavy salary that requires you to deliver to the standard. internships are great especially for you to grow and understand the work without alot of pressure from a job title and salary. And most internships take you afterwards into a Junior position. if you internship is at a start up or small company you shouldn't focus on get a permanent you should focus on getting the experience you need to get a Junior position. Big companies dont do that cause they are able to absorb you after the internship but small companies struggle
